EASTER IN CZECH REPUBLIC

The feasts of Paque in the Czech Republic are festivals of traditional custom, but also the celebration of the arrival of spring and the resurrection of Jesus Christ (Easter Sunday). The symbol of the Czech Easter is indeed painted eggs and wooden rattles.

· Wooden rattles is a long wooden baguette woven with fresh wicker strands, decorated with ribbons.

-From Thursday to Saturday, the boys roam the buildings of the village and make noise by waving their wooden rattles; They call the believers to the churches instead of the bells which, symbolically flown to Rome, remain silent during the Easter celebrations.

-On Easter Monday, boys and men are going to sing and whip symbolically young girls and women of their chopsticks. The popular tradition says that whipping women must bring them beauty and freshness for the whole year. Any respectable meal must include an egg-based dish.

· Eggs painted, eggs are an ancestral symbol of new life and Renaissance. During the Easter holidays, the majority of restaurants serve their menus with traditional Easter flavored beer specialties.

EASTER IN CZECH REPUBLIC IN LIBEREC

In town, on Easter Monday ( national holiday) on April 2 most of the men on the street had wooden rattles, in all supermarkets there were a lot of rattles that all the Czechs were looking for since the price was lower. The dormitory was empty, fewer people, car parks almost empty. We had a long weekend from Friday to Monday, most of the students preferred to travel to visit neighbouring countries.

AFTER EASTER IN LIBEREC

My classmetes and I have a Czech geography class for this semester. So the Czech geography teacher did a course just on ' ' Easter ' ' which basically tells everything we do in Easter, it was Tuesday after Easter, French students and other foreigners were really surprised by this culture, which was Fun or surprising is the fact that women and girls are whipped by boys and men, respect for the custom.

A presentation was given on April 10 by the ESN an association of Czech students who take care of welcoming and accompanying foreigners throughout their stay. Brief presentation in a amphi of the university residence on Easter, after demonstration of some girls whipped by the boys. In the small court practice with the eggs, after playing with the eggs that consisted of breaking the eggs on anyone, most of the students fled.
