Before leaving :
With Maureen and Cyrielle we decided to make this trip by car. We chose to do it twice, so we booked one night in an apartment for less than € 20 per person in Nuremberg in Germany.
The big departure:
So they joined me at my home in Nancray a small village in the Doubs free county.
They arrived in Besançon on the evening of Sunday February 12th.
We took the road to Nuremberg the next day at 9:30.
The path :
Initially it was very cold but great sun, on the road the weather was really random, we encountered snow freezes and the sun like the rain of Mars. After 2 hours of road, the German border crossed, the first small break is required. So we stopped at a service station on the highway, to our surprise the toilets were paid (40centimes).
We chose to have a coffee, after several trying impossible to operate the coffee machine, we tried to ask for help in English but people in the station did speak english. So we met our first barrier with the tongue. So we took the road without having coffee.
To reach Nuremberg:
We arrived around 16:30 in Nuremberg, unable to pick up the keys to our apparently before 18h we decided to go for a walk in the city. To our surprise half of the city was closed by police.
Bomb alert :
After intelligence a bomb of the 2nd world war had been found in a metro mouth. This story made access to the restaurant very difficult we had to walk all around the city. After this night walk, we rested.
Liberec Direction:
We took the road direction Liberec around 11:30, we quickly crossed the Czech border or we stopped to buy a sticker that allows us to drive on the roads paying. We encountered an accident on the highway, I GPS made us out of the highway to avoid traffic jams, suddenly we passed the small Czech villages where we met yet a small collision between 2 cars. This little detour has lengthened our journey of 1 hour.
Arrivals in Liberec:
Despite our small mishaps we had a good trip. We arrived in Liberec around 16:30, the godfather of Cyrielle who is part of the student office. The latter accompanied us to our homes and helped us to make our papers.I recommend to all students to do this trip by car, it gave us unforgettable memories.
To us the adventure on Liberec.
