Travelling by car through three countries

From Liberec to Ljubljana (Slovenia)

Before the trip:

I wanted to go to Slovenia for a friend’s birthday with my best friend Laura. The goal, first, is to find the cheapest way to travel. The price is 50 euros to go and come back, so 200 euros for two people by bus and about 180 euros to go and come by a rent car including fuel and thumbnail. The deposit is about 400 euros but nothing happened.

So we rent a car and it was not so difficult even with students.

The itinerary is to pass through the two entire countries: Czech Republic and Austria. Ljubljana is about 650 km far from Liberec and 11 hours on the road. It’s a really long trip but it was really nice. The beautiful landscape in Austria and tunnel inside high mountains just made this trip incredible. We were impressed about how they preserved the forest.

In Slovenia:

Slovenia is a beautiful country which is just 65 km from the coast. It’s a Slovak country closest to the sea. A lot of Italian people lived there. Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia. In the city center, there is the dragon’s bridge which is famous because of the story of the city? The legend told that the dragon protected the city. It was the only bridge who overcome a lot of earthquakes.

First of all, it was hard to find free park place, but the price in payment parking is not so expensive. For example we paid 1.80 euros for 1h30. We had the luck to participate at the Castle Festival. It is a huge festival during hours with about 40.000 Slovenians students. The stage had two big screens in high quality and also two different stage. One of them was for Techno music and the other one was for live Slovenian concert. We saw four bands: Pop, rock, acoustic and also Typical Slovenian music. This festival is a kind of meeting point of all students. There were restaurants, bars and Bankomat too. The logistic aspect of the festival just impressed me.

After that, we visited the city. Ljubljana is a beautiful city which had a lot of to offer. The architecture is amazing. The pedestrian street are bigger than in other country.

I think the municipality organize the city like to have enough space for event or markets..So much people spoke English: that’s the best point of Slovenia!

We just stayed fews hours, but we didn’t regret it.
