Germany is a combination of cutting-edge cool and timeless tradition, wrapped up in a package of spectacular landscapes, vibrant metropolises and idyllic half-timbered villages, architectural masterpieces and fairy-tale palaces.
The world’s fourth-largest economy is also a powerhouse when it comes to spirit-lifting culture, with an extraordinary wealth of museums, a thriving art scene, renowned orchestras and high-octane nightlife. That's why we went to discover Germany.
Day 1 – Dresden City Center
Brief History of Dresden, Germany

Dresden, Germany, is the capital of the Free State of Saxony, one of the 16 German states. It is located on the east side of the country, near the borders of the Czech Republic and Poland. Very close to Liberec :) In the 19th century, Dresden was the capital of the Kingdom of Saxony and considered the center of European art. During the last months of the Second World War, the city was the target of allied forces and two days of decimated bombing. Rebuilding the city has been a slow and slow process. Dresden is really nice, we had a very nice day.
We visited the sites of the Old Town, such as Frauenkirche, Dresden Castle, Zwinger, the Opera House and the Kreuzkirche, are nearby, making the city easily accessible on foot. Just across the River Elbe, to the north, is Neustadt, a vibrant interurban district with a mix of architecture and a vibrant alternative scene. We spent the night.

Day 2 – Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz)

We took the road to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in the extreme south-east of Germany, just 30 kilometers from Dresden (Saxony), between the Ore Mountains and the Lusatian Mountains. They extend across the border to Bohemia (Czech Republic). We went to the discovery of "The Malerweg" in the Elbe sandstone mountains is one of the most beautiful and popular walks in Germany. We discovered a miracle of nature between Dresden and Prague: With more than 700 km2 of space, it is one of the last wild spaces in Europe. Namely, the most beautiful parts of this region are protected as a transboundary national park. We hiked to Bastei Bridge - a rock formation. We enjoyed this panorama view, the air and the exhilarating feeling of being at the top of the world.
Day 3 and 4 – Berlin
We continued our way to Berlin where we stayed for two days. We visited the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate and the Charlie Checkpoint and the Pergamon Museum with its monumental antiquities. We have seen little panoramic views of the television tower and the Reichstag Dome. We also did a guided tour of the underground Berlin, this experience was extraordinary.
